A few weeks ago I had my eyebrows waxed for the first time, and considering I’m a big wuss when it comes to even the slightest pain I thought that I should share my experience with you all.
Before I get into it though I just want to mention that I usually pluck my brows, an even that hurts me, so I don’t tend to do it that often. I have the mindset of hair is natural so I won’t change my brows even if people don’t like them, but every few months or so I just get the urge to clean them up a bit..
Here are some before photos. As you can see I had a few straddlers underneath my brow arch and down towards the end on both sides.
I also has a few in between my brows or the “monobrow” zone.
I was a bit hesitant at first but once the beautician put the wax onto my face there was no turning back.
Here’s a photo of me in that moment that sums up how I was feeling.
Obviously when she ripped off the wax it hurt, like a lot, but only for a second. Usually when I pluck it takes about 5 minuets and hurts constantly, so it was definitely worth it time-wise.
I was also happy with the results, my brows looked more defined and it saved me from having to use any brow products for a week.
I don’t know if I would have it done again soon but I absolutely see why so many people do it.
Have you ever been waxed? What did you think? Let me know!
