Today I’m talking about Las Iguanas, a Brazilian food restaurant in Meadowhall – Sheffield
I visited as I had a £20 gift card which was gifted to me for my birthday.
I took my mum, sister and boyfriend Brad, and we went on a Saturday.
When we arrived we were told that they were low on staff and to come back in half an hour. When we arrived we were again told to wait an extra 5-10 minuets at the bar.
They sell cocktails / mocktails as buy one get one free (which I think is great!) and we ordered 2 AMAZING Virgin Pina Coladas and 2 Passionfruit mocktails.
I saw a sign which mentioned that they only use paper straws for the environment (but I didn’t get to take a photo of the sign) yet our drinks were served with plastic straws.
When we were finally seated it took 30 minuets to be asked for our order, then an extra 20 minuets for our starters to arrive (2 bread boards)
When our mains finally arrived they were good! We ordered 5 tapas dishes and a side of sweet potato fries –
Overall we were at the restaurant for 2 hours, but our waiter Jose was very friendly.
I don’t think I’d visit again, but if you’re into Brazilian food, I think that the quality of the items were very good and would recommend trying your closest Las Iguanas location.
Thanks for reading, please let me know if you’ve ever been to Las Iguanas and what your thoughts are…
