Today I’m trying out a black peel-off charcoal mask. This one is by T-Zone, and I’m sure you’ve probably seen videos of people peeling these off, and I decided “hey, they look like they’re having fun screaming and crying in pain, I want to try that”…
The rules on the box even say that if it hurts when you remove it, you should use warm water.
I decided to use as thin of a layer as possible and only put it on the places where my skin is worst.
You’re supposed to keep it on for 30 minuets, but after only 10 I realised that it was peeling off around my chin.
Maybe I didn’t use enough product or maybe it isn’t as strong as the others I’ve seen, but when I removed the rest of the product I didn’t notice much difference to my skin.
It wasn’t as painful as I expected it to be, but it definitely wasn’t pain-less.
The best way I can explain it is that it’s like having dried glue on your skin and you’re pinching your skin to peel it off.
Overall, I felt like this product was a little bit pointless and hyped up to be better than it was.
It probably does work for many people but as my skin doesn’t get many issues, I’m probably not the best person to try it out.
Thanks for reading and definitely don’t be afraid to give it a go if you feel that it could work for you!
