DIY Fluffy Stool

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to another DIY post.

Today I’m turning my old fabric stool into a fluffy one.

I saw one very similar that I really liked in Tkmaxx but it was way too expensive.

A friend of mine made her own DIY Fluffy stool and I thought that was a great idea, so I decided to make my own too!

I already had a makeup stool that I’d been using for a year or 2, but it was old and worn.

So I went out and bought some fluffy white material from my local Fabrics and Textiles shop for around £4 and a staple gun for £10.

Me, my sister and my stepdad then got to work at stapling on the material to the existing, fabric / cushion.

We turned the stool upside down and folded the sides over onto the pre-existing cushion. We tucked it in and tried to make it as neat as possible as you don’t want to be seeing little bits hanging out underneath.

WARNING: DON’T USE STAPLE GUNS WITHOUT AN ADULT AND BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR FINGERS!

Once it was all stapled on, we hoovered the material to get rid of any loose bits.

And that’s it, it’s done!

Obviously you can buy many different coloured materials or different styled stools. You can even add buttons or pom-poms if that’s what you like!

It feels like a completely new stool and really makes a difference to my room.

Thanks for reading my blog and I hope that this inspired you to take on your own DIY project!

See you guys next time,
Best wishes ~ Becca x
